Art for a Cause: Cade Kegerreis Sheds Light on Societal Issues With DVLVD
One person’s passion has the ability to ignite that of another. And believing in the magic of his craft, Cade Kegerreis sparked a revolution that hinges on celebrating individuality and embracing uniqueness.
Pounding the pavement with his artistic flair, Cade Kegerreis breathed life into DVLVD — a clothing brand that is geared towards bringing harmony through knowledge and personal investigation. Hailing from the city of Waco in Texas, Cade Kegerreis is a twenty-three-year-old who graduated in college with a degree in studio art. And since closing the doors behind his university years, he has been working as a full-time artist.
Having immersed himself in a wide range of creative jobs, Cade was able to pool in a decent amount of savings that helped him narrow down his path towards his dream. And when all of his hard work finally came to fruition, he decided to put up his debut solo art exhibition that is wrapping up at Cultivate 7Twelve, an art gallery in Waco. The exhibit will be open for viewing until September 26, 2020.
Along with his art exhibit, Cade Kegerreis also launched a clothing brand, called DVLVD, that aligned with the show’s themes. And building the said brand around the pillars of unity, evolution, diversity, and connection, the revolutionary artist strives to bring more people together.
Instead of being an entity that focuses on pecuniary gains, DVLVD leans on raising awareness of the looming societal issues. It hopes to instill acceptance through wearable art that can pique anyone’s interest and strike up a conversation. And in an interview, Cade exclaimed that the current art series and the first line of DLVD apparel is just the beginning of a much bigger brand.
Since taking the helm of DVLVD, Cade has been out and about inspiring people and encouraging artistic individuals to step into their light. He has then made it his mission to gather like-minded individuals and create a community that believes in making the world a better place.
