Coast to Coast Children’s Book Expo & Tour: Raising a Generations of Readers and Leaders
A famous quote goes, “Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” This saying proves true as a reader gets to live a thousand lives, traveling the world from the comfort of their room. To help young people revive the reading culture and raise visionary leaders, Coast To Coast Children’s Book Expo & Tour brings the fun back to reading and creating awareness in local communities.
Coast To Coast Children’s Book Expo & Tour creates awareness and revives the reading culture among the younger generation. The organization bridges the gap through its expo and coast-to-coast tour and connects self-published children book authors from the east and west coast to families and youths. The self-published authors will engage youth, families, and the community with a memorable experience of social interaction and engagement for literacy, fitness, and health.
The activities at the Expo & Tour will also include a wide range of diverse children’s books, meet and greets, book signings, storytime reading, live music and entertainment, interactive games and contests, and so much more. The 2021 Expo & Tour was organized to bring the community back together as one in a fun-filled and educative occasion after a long year of COVID. At the expo, authors will have the chance to share, read, sell, and showcase their literary work to children and families in the community.
In addition, the organization also offers restoration for children, families, and the community; provides supplies for learning engagements at home; donates free books to the community; and gives the opportunity to engage in live readings from self-published authors. “We are sharing the amazingly diverse, empowering, motivational, and inspiring literacy to help positively impact children in the local communities from self-published children’s book authors.”
Coast to Coast Children’s Book Expo is an opportunity for authors to share their passion for reading and get lost in motivational, inspirational, and empowering stories. Also, children will join and participate in physical and social learning activities that will give them the space to transition from distance learning back into the classroom.
At the helm of the literary organization is a visionary leader and self-published author, Shariece Williams. Born in Vallejo, California, Shariece has an M.A. in Education at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia, and is dedicated to using her degree and creative skills to bring self-published authors together and share empowering stories to inspire and motivate children from every walk of life from coast to coast. “My drive, my purpose, and my determination are geared towards making my vision a reality by shining light on other self-published authors — not comparing, not competing, but unifying,” she said.
In the coming years, The Founder Shariece Williams wants to continue building her organization and expand its reach to all fifty states in the country. She also wants to inspire children and families to embrace a reading culture.
